Topic prediction and picture walk were able to carry out
very easily since pictures were presented vividly on the screen. All the
students could observe the pictures on story together at the same time and make
prediction, what will happen in next scene of the story.
On other hand it save time and completed story within a
period. Many a time students face difficult to read every words and sentences
while reading. It was similar like using a big book to teach a text where all
students use a single book for reading. It really helps to teach unfamiliar
words in the text using visual cues. The
entire lesson went smoothly as students participated with utmost enthusiasm
since it was first ICT lesson. 
Powerpoint is the most powerful ict tool in classroom teaching. It enable learners to learn effectively compare to traditional teaching. Therefore, you used the appropriate ict tool that impart the ict knowledge to students.

ReplyDeletePowerPoint is powerful teaching tool. We can insert visual, images, animations, transactional effects which perhaps would enable the lesson become lively.

Good to hear that you used power point presentation in grade one students for reader. It really help the children in prediction with appropriate pictures. Hope you will continue it and think new tools for way forward in ICT.

ReplyDeleteIt is good to know that you have used ict to deliver the lesson. I feel instead of showing things via laptop or projector by teacher, if you make children to browse by themselves so that they learn the basic ict knowledge. Just my feeling la.
