Use of ICT in teaching for October

Class VI
subject : Science
Time : 40 minutes
Topic; Flow of Blood in Our Body

Teaching learning materials;  A laptop each for group.

On 9th October  during 3rd period, I taught class vi science on the topic Flow of Blood in our body. Student were supposed to define pulse, differentiate pulmonary circulation ans systemic circulation.
They were also ask to tell the function pulmonary arteries and veins. The information in text is limited on the particular  topic. So I planned to use internet, to gather information by students themselves. Since our school have accesses to internet facilities , did not face network problem, however there was shortage of computers. I requested teachers to use their laptops.

Students in group  browsed internet  on blood circulation. They used the web address given in the textbook at the end of the topic. Students observed the diagram of human blood circulation and read the in information from the source. I asked groups to take note on important points to be share to other groups. later all groups shared what they got from the internet.

Students really enjoyed the lesson . On other hand students got an opportunity to explore the use of ICT in learning from various source.

  3. Teaching science is fun and when Google search is added in the teaching process it works in wonder. Teaching the topic flow of blood to class VI adds more information and children learns a lot from it. Your workdone has made them to explore the content which is one of the most important aspects of teaching learning process. Great work and keep going.

  4. Great to see that you used good methods of teaching through ICT materials. You have also used available facilities that you have in your school. Please keep on practising and try to apply for other subjects too.

  6. Proving opportunity to browse internet to look for extra i formation was a good job. Our children learns better from net than text out of their curiosity and as par with the development of the ICT around the world. Though your school do not have enough computer...you did a great work by using teacher's laptop. I am pretty sure that your children might have enjoyed the lesson and at the same time some of them might have touched the laptop for the first time. Here after too just provide platforms to explore and learn practically. Good work!!!
